“2 Covid case with delta variant sa Lipa, nakarekober na” – Africa

PINASINUNGALINGAN ni Lipa City mayor Eric Africa ang umano’y kumakalat na balita na may namatay na Lipeño na nagpositibo sa Delta variant ng Covid-19.

Aniya sa kabuuang bilang na anim (6) na kumpirmadong kaso ng Delta variant sa lalawigan ng Batangas, dalawa (2) rito an gang naitala sa lungos dng Lipa. Ang mga ito aniya ay magkasama sa iisang compound at agarang nagkaroon ng isolation at contact tracing.

Ginawa umano ng pamahalaang lungsod ang lahat ng mga protocols bago pa man nalaman ng City Health Office na delta variant case ang naturang mga pasyente.

Para sa kasiguraduhan aniya, bagaman noong nakaraang June 30, 2021 (Case 1) at July 2, 2021

(Case 2) pa sila nagpositibo sa Covid-19, noon lamang July 29, 2021 kinumpirma ng DOH

Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit – 4A na sila ay positibo sa Delta Variant.

Dahil dito, bagama’t sila ay recovered patients na, muli umanong nagsagawa ng Repeat RT-PCR Test sa mga ito at muli na naman lumabas na negatibo na sila sa virus.

Samantala, hindi naman tinukoy ni Africa kung may mga nahawahan kaya ang dalawa, batay sa contract tracing ng City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU), o kung nagsagawa na o hindi ang CESU ng massive swab testing sa mga posibleng nakasalamuha ng mga ito.| – BNN
