3000+ indigent senior citizens, tumanggap ng social pension

UMABOT sa kabuuang 3,295 “indigent senior citizens” mula sa iba’t ibang brangay ng Lungsod ng Tanauan ang tumanggap ng “social pension”, na nagkakahalaga ng Php 3,000 para sa mga buwan ng Enero hanggang Hunyo, mula sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), sa Pres. Jose P. Laurel Gymnasium I, Poblacion 2, Agosto 7.

Naipamahagi ang naturang mga benepisyo sa pakikipagtulungan sa DSWD ng City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) at Office of the Senior Citizens Affair (OSCA).

Ang benepisyong ito ay alinsunod sa itinatakda ng Republic Act of 9994 o ang “Expanded Senior Citizens Act of 2010” na pagkakaloob ng pensiyong Php 500 kada buwan sa mga kwalipikadong “senior citizens” partikular ang mga may kapansanan, mahina.

Kasama sa mga tumanggap ng benepisyo ang mga nakatatandaang walang permanenteng pinanggagalingan ng kita o tulong pinansyal para sa kanilang pangangailangan, at walang natatanggap na “pension” mula sa kahit anong ahensya ng gobyerno.|LACV Roderick Lanting
