4.6 Magnitude na lindol, yumanig sa Batangas; evacuees, lalong natakot

MABINI, Batangas – HINDI pa man nakauuwi sa kani-kanilang tahanan ang libu-libong evacuees, niyanig ng 4.6 magnitude na lindol ang Batangas, bagay na ikinatakot ng publiko at inakalang darating na ang pinangangambahang mas malakas na pagsabog ng Bulkang Taal, Linggo ng gabi.

Katatapos lamang maghapunan ng marami, naitala ang lindol sa lakas na Intensity V sa Mabini at Bauan, Batangas dakong alas-8:59 ng gabi.

Intensity 4 ang naitalang lakas sa Batangas City at Lungsod ng Sto. Tomas, samantalang naramdaman din sa Malvar, Cuenca, Tanauan City, San Pascual at Calatagan, pawang sa Lalawigan ng Batangas, gayundin sa Lungsod ng San Pablo sa Laguna at Puerto Galera sa Oriental Mindoro.

Bagaman at tinukoy ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) na tectonic in origin ang nasabing lindol bunsod ng paggalaw ng tectonic plates sa bahagi ng Mabini, Batangas kung saan tinukoy ang epicenter ng lindol, wala umano itong kinalaman sa pag-aalburoto ng Bulkang Taal.

Sa kabila nito, nangangamba pa rin publiko sa maaaring idulot na pinsala ng lindol. Sinabi naman ng Phivolcs na walang banta ng aftershocks ang nasabing pagyanig.| – BALIKAS News Network
