6.1 magnitude na lindol, yumanig sa Luzon

(UPDATED) NIYANIG ng lindol ang Kalakhang Maynila at iba pang bahagi ng Luzon bandang alas-5:11 ng hapon, Lunes, Abril 22.

Naitala ang sentro ng lindol sa 14.92 N; 120.53 E latitude o 60 kilometro Hilagang Kanluran ng Lungsod ng Maynila o 3 kilometro sa Hilagang-Silangan ng Santiago, Isabela at may lakas na 5.8 magnitude, samantalang 6.3 magnitude naman sa data ng US Geological Survey.

Sa ulat ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), ito ay nasa 2 kilometro Hilagang-Silangan ng Castillejos, Zambales at may lakas na 6.1 magnitude. [Nauna nang naiulat na 5.7 batay sa uanng ini-release na advisory ng Phivolcs.]

Sinasabing nagmula ang lindol na may tectonic origin sa lalim na 40 kilometro, dahilan para maramdaman ang halos pagsayaw ng ilang gusali sa Makati Central Business District.

Naitala ang Intensity V sa San Felipe, Zambales. Higit namang naramdaman ang pagyanig sa mga lungsod ng Makati, Parañaque, Pasig at Navotas. Nadama rin ang pagyanig sa Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna at Batangas.

Bagaman at wala pang naiuulat na mga pinsala sa buhay at ari-arian, patuloy na pinag-iingat ng otoridad ang publiko at patuloy na pinaghahanda sa sinasabing Big One na maaaring maganap anumang oras sapagkat inaasahang magkakaroon ng aftershocks ang naturang lindol.|BALIKAS News Network
