MALAPIT na muling ipatupad ang ika-5 cycle of closed season, o ang pagpapahinga ng mga Look ng Balayan, Talin at Nasugbu na magsisimula sa November 27 at tatagal hanggang December 18, 2018.

Kaugnay pa rin ito ng mga proyekto, sa pangunguna ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Batangas katuwang ang iba’t ibang sektor ng lipunan, para sa tamang pangangalaga sa kalikasan at likas yaman, partikular ang baybaying dagat ng lalawigan.

Sinimulan noong taong 2014 ang programa bilang inisyatiba sa fisheries management, kung saan pinaghuhusay ang coastal protection at pinalalakas ang fishery resilience.

Ito ang naging paksa ng pagpapupulong noong ika-9 ng Oktubre 2018 sa Provincial Government – Environment and Natural Resources Conference Hall sa pangunguna ng Provincial Government – Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) at kaibat ang Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) at Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR).

Dinaluhan ito ng mga City at Municipal Agriculturists; City at Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officers; Bantay Dagat members mula sa 11 coastal municipality ng Batangas Province na Balayan, Bauan, Calaca, Calatagan, Lemery, Lian, Mabini, Nasugbu, San Luis, Taal at Tingloy; Philippine National Police – Batangas Police Provincial Office (PNP-BPPO), Philippine National Police Maritime Group (PNP-MG), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine Air Force (PAF), Provincial Agriculturist, Provincial Tourism Culture and Arts Office at ang Provincial Social Welfare and development Office.|Shelly Umali at Louise Mangilin
