3rd termer Africa, other officials assume posts in Lipa City

LIPA CITY – The historic Inauguration and Oath-Taking Ceremony of the elected officials of Lipa City was held today, June 30, 2025, at the function hall of Museo de Lipa.

Marking the beginning of their term for 2025–2028, Mayor Eric B. Africa and Vice Mayor Mikee Morada took their oath alongside the city councilors. The elected officials formally pledged to fulfill their duties and responsibilities in this new term of public service.

In the 2025 local elections, members of Team Bagong Lipa secured the majority of seats in the council. Hon. Eric B. Africa was re-elected as Mayor for the third and final term, running unopposed and receiving strong support from the Lipa community. Mikee Morada, a former Lipa City councilor, was newly elected as Vice Mayor.

Among the twelve elected members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod (City Council), several were re-elected, including Councilors Spye Toledo, Atty. Gally Angeles, Venice Manalo, Nicole Ronquillo, Merlo Silva, Nilo Catipon, Aries Macala and Councilor Mike Lina, all of whom served in the 2022–2025 term.

Joining them are newly elected Councilor Mikee Umali and returning officials Councilor Lydio Lopez, Councilor Mak-Mak Luancing, and Councilor Joel Pua. They are all expected to support Mayor Africa in implementing effective programs and projects for the Lipeños.

Special guests, families of the officials, and local residents were present at the ceremony to show their support for the new administration. The event was also attended by representatives from various sectors of the community.

The ceremony highlighted the oath-taking and inauguration of Lipa’s newly elected officials, welcoming both re-elected and new leaders. They vowed to continue serving the public and introduce programs and projects for the benefit of all Lipeños.| – BNN Integrated News
