AboitizPower’s Integrated Response and Awareness towards COVID-19 Hazards (I-REACH) program bagged the Award of Excellence at the recently held Philippine Quill Awards, the country’s most distinguished awards program in the field of business communication.

During the virtual awarding ceremony on March 25, the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) honored the winners of the 18th Philippine Quill Awards, recognizing AboitizPower’s I-REACH program as among the exemplary communication initiatives under the Communication Management division, Customer Relations category.

“We are truly grateful for the recognition our customer efforts have been getting. We thank the IABC for this honor, which is both encouraging and humbling altogether. This inspires us to continue doing what we do for our partners and doing it even better as we rise towards recovery,” said AboitizPower Head of Commercial Operations Juan Alejandro Aboitiz.

Headlining the theme “Arise,” this year’s Philippine Quill Awards honor the country’s public and private sector organizations, both large and small, that have risen to the unprecedented challenges of these times and contributed greatly to society despite the odds.

Among the key components of the award-winning I-REACH campaign is AboitizPower’s collaboration with partner hospitals in Luzon and Visayas that helped bring surgical masks as well as sanitation and food supplies to healthcare workers amidst their fight against COVID-19.

For this campaign, AboitizPower partnered with the PNP General Hospital, Perpetual Help in Biñan and Las Piñas, Mary Mediatrix in Batangas, Chong Hua Hospital in Cebu, and Riverside Medical Center in Bacolod.

The program also covered a series of webinars to engage customers and keep them informed about the impact of the pandemic, particularly on their business operations. These webinars focused on topics such as business continuity and recovery practices, COVID-19 as an accelerator of digital transformation, and the government’s economic outlook and initiatives to support key industries, to name a few.

Through I-REACH, AboitizPower was able to support its customers in their transition towards the “new normal.”

With a timely customer-centric information drive on concerns such as sanitation and virus prevention, work-from-home best practices, online employee training, and government advisories, AboitizPower’s partners were equipped to better maneuver their way through the challenges brought about by the pandemic.

The I-REACH campaign, which also bagged a Stevie Award in 2020, is only one of the many COVID-19 response initiatives of AboitizPower for its various stakeholders.

The company, despite the challenging times, strives to fulfill the Aboitiz Group’s promise of advancing business and communities.|
