TUAMANGGAP ang tatlong (3) asosasyon ng mga magsasaka sa Quezon ng kabuuang P2,188,400 halaga ng mga interbensyon mula sa Department of Agriculture IV-CALABARZON (DA-4A) Corn Program noong ika-11 hanggang ika-13 ng Agosto, taong kasalukuyan.

Tig-5 pump and engine set for shallow tube well (STW) na nagkakahalaga ng P1,185,000 ang ipinagkaloob sa San Andres Corn Farmers Scientists Association, SACA Corn Farmers Association, at Malayang Aniban sa Ikauunlad ng Sakahan (MAIS) – Gumaca.

Bukod sa pump and engine set, nabigyan din ang bawat asosasyon ng iba pang mga interbensyon gaya ng hybrid yellow corn seeds, herbicides, fungicides, rodenticides, at chemical insecticides na nagkakahalaga ng P1,003,400.

“Labis po kaming nagpapasalamat sa inyo sa DA. Malaking tulong sa aming magsasaka nitong mga gamit sa STW. May mapagkukunan na kami ng tubig, lalo ngayon na halos isang buwan na walang ulan at makakapagtanim din kami kahit tag-araw,” ani Felipe C. Duaso, pangulo ng San Andres Corn Farmers Scientists Association.| – BNN
