Calabarzon recorded the second-highest number of A2 (Senior Citizen) inoculated during the three-day national vaccination day part 4 with a total of 3,442 jabs, as reported by the National Covid-19 Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC).

The province with the highest number of A2 vaccines is Region 3 with 4,865, followed by Calabarzon- 3,442 and Region 6 with 3,365.

“Effective ang ginawa nating pagbaba sa barangay level down to their door steps. Marami kasi sa mga elderly ay nahihirapan na din pumunta sa mga vaccination site ang iba naman ay dahilan na din sa kakulangan sa pamasahe kaya we made the vaccines available and accessible to them,” Regional Director Ariel I. Valencia stated.

“Although we haven’t reached our target of P250k+ for three days, the overwhelming response of the (A2) elderly during inoculation shows that people’s hesitancy against the COVID-19 vaccines are dwindling, and they are already welcoming the COVID-19 Vaccines that are effective and safe.”

DOH CHD CALABARZON vaccination teams were directed to go down to the barangays, churches, markets, and even public transportation terminals to expand eligible individuals’ access to COVID-19 vaccines.

“Overall, naging maayos naman and well-coordinated ang NVD4 natin.

Bayanihan, Bakunahan’ 4 extended until Feb. 18
