THE Department of Health (DOH) – CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) on Wednesday led the opening of the Hemodialysis Center for Covid patients located at the Cabuyao City Hospital Building in Barangay San Isidro, Cabuyao City, Laguna.

“This hemodialysis center will cater solely for patients with kidney problems who are tested positive of the coronavirus virus.

The hemodialysis center for Covid patients in Laguna is the first project established by DOH-CALABARZON through a tripartite agreement between the City Government of Cabuyao and NephroMed Asia Medical Group.

The center a total of 20 dialysis stations that will be used and can accommodate around 150 patients a day.

According to Janairo, the regional office initiated and advocated for the establishment of the center. It is made possible through a tri-partite agreement with the City Government of Cabuyao who will provide for the facility to be used and through outsourcing with NephroMed Asia Medical Group to provide dialysis services and treatment.

“We facilitated the accreditation and License to Operate (LTO) of NephroMed for this project who in turn commits to deliver the highest quality dialysis treatment.”

Janairo assured that patients who will undergo dialysis will be have nothing to worry about spending money for their treatment. He also added that DOH-CALABARZON will be assisting in logistics augmentation when needed including personal protective equipment.|-BNN
