Dr. Gappi, kinumpirmang pangulo ng CLB

BATANGAS City — KINUMPIRMA na ng Sangguniang Panlunsod ng Batangas si Dr. Lorna L. Gappi bilang pangulo ng Colegio ng Lunsod ng Batangas (CLB) sa lingguhang sesyon nito noong Martes, Abril 10.

Si Gappi, na nagsimulang maglingkod bilang Dean ng College of Education sa CLB noong 2016, ay pumalit kay Dr. Raymond Arcega na siyang officer-in-charge ng paaralan.

Isang resolusyon mula sa joint committee ng Committee on Laws, Rules and Regulations at Committee on Civil Service ang ipinasa upang maging pormal ang kaniyang kumpirmasyon.

Sinabi ni Dr. Gappi na sisikapin niyang maging karapat-dapat sa kaniyang trabaho. Aniya, hindi naging madali ang kaniyang pinagdaanan para masiguro ang kaniyang posisyon.

“Ako po ay baguhan sa CLB. Ito po ay tanggap ko. Subalit handa ko pong patunayan na deserving ako sa posisyong ito. Nais ko pong pasalamatan ang lahat ng nagtiwala at nagtitiwala sa aking kakayahan. Kayo po ang aking inspirasyon sa pagganap ko ng bagong hamon sa aking teaching career,” dagdag pa ni Gappi.

Bago sa CLB, naging guro si Gappi sa ilang kilalang kolehiyo at unibersidad sa lunsod at maging sa ibang bansa. Ilan dito ay ang Batangas State University, St. Bridget College, AMA International University-Bahrain, at Daejeon Theological Seminary and College, Korea bilang guest lecturer.

Naging punong guro din siya sa BSU Integrated School.

Tinapos niya ang kaniyang Master’s Degree sa De La Salle University noong 1993 at ang kaniyang Doctoral Degree sa Bicol University noong 2003.|Jerson J. Sanchez / #BALIKAS_News
