Filipino educator recognized in 7 countries amidst CoVid pandemic

MANILA, Philippines — THE international popularity on Facebook as a professional educator using social media platform paved the way to a Batangueño who was invited in seven countries including India, Indonesia, Iraq, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines in South Asia and Southeast Asia and Romania international arena as a keynote speaker, expert speaker, paper reviewer, board of editor, international board advisory, and conference advisory board.

Dr. Macario G. Gayeta is considered as First Batangueño educator and researcher to be recognized in international arena as International expert speaker, keynote speaker, board of editor, international board advisory, and conference advisory board, paper reviewer.

In 2015, he was appointed for Scientific Board of Editor, International Teachers Conference (ITEC), Northern Cyprus Republic of Turkey up to present. After his stint as board of editor, he was appointed again as International Board of Advisory in the 28th  World Conference on Applied Science, Engineering & Technology (WCASET), Jakarta, Indonesia, 2020 multi-disciplinary research; International Reviewer for SEISENSE Journal of Management (SJOM) editorial office based in Yangbu International College, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Bahawalpur, Pakistan, 2020; International Reviewerfor Journal of Business and Tourism (JBT)an official journal of Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan, (AWKUM), Paktunkwa, Pakistan; Reviewer, Kashmir Journal of Education (KJE) an official journal of Mohi-ud-Udin Islamic University, Narian Sharif District, Kashmir, Pakistan; International Reviewer, International Journal of Historical Studies, official journal of Bahaudd in Zakariya University, Pakistan, 2020.

Likewise, he was also appointed as Editorial Board, International Engineering Journal for Research & Development (IJERD) (Multi-disciplinary Journal) 2020, India; Editorial Board/Reviewer at International Education Studies(IES)published by the Canadian Center of Science and Education (CCSE); Editorial Board, 1st International E-Conference Conference on Innovation Perspectives, Psychology and Social Sciences (ICIPPS-2020),June 20-21, 2020, Akola, Maharasthra, India; Speaker in Social Sciences in Indonesia; International Conference on Engineering and Technology Computational Cloud in Romania and and locally as Peer Reviewer, Kalinangan Research Journal, University of Batangas, Philippines in 2017.

His first stint as international webinar Expert-Speaker was introduced at NAS College, Meerut (UP), India on “Philippine Higher Education Challenges, Opportunities and Threats in the Time of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Pandemic held last May 16-17, 2020. He also spoke on hospitality and tourism and served as Keynote Speaker at CG Institute of Management at Kathmandu, Nepal on May 26, 2020 on “Issues, Problems and Trends in the Implementation of Strategic management in Hospitality and Tourism Industry Amidst COVID-19 Outbreak”.

Dr. Gayeta was also invited in two speakership as World SummitSpeaker, First International Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities (SOSH-2020), June 6-7, 2020, Alkora, Maharasthra, India and Symposium Speaker in the Online International Symposium on COVID-19: Social Perspective, June 12-13, 2020 at Guijanwala Guru Nanak (GGN) Institute of Management & Technology Ludhiana, India.

Recently, he received two invitations from University of Babylon and University of Baghdad, Iraq on September, 2020 and invited as International Advisory Board for ACMAICT Conference and Ib Siha International Conference on Engineering and Technology as Conference Board of Advisory on October 11, 2020.

He is a full time faculty and researcher at University of the East Caloocan holds Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Leadership and Administration at University of the East Manila, Philippines and academic completed for his PhD in International Hospitality and Tourism Management at Lyceum of the Philippines University, Batangas as an International Center of Excellence (ICE), UK and Center of Excellence of Asia Pacific Institute of Events and Management (APIEM), UK and hold master’s degree in Education at University of Batangas, Batangas City.. His bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication at LPU Batangas flagged as a as an award-winning broadcast-journalist of Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) and Best News Commentary in Catholic Mass Media Awards-San Lorenzo Ruiz Awards during his college days. He served as national correspondent in daily newspaper Remate and Diaryo Bomba in Manila for 20years. 

Gayeta was also invited for paper presentation in Bangkok, Thailand; paper collaboration research at Maejo University, Chiangmai, Thailand; International benchmarking at Taylor’s University, Selangor, Malaysia in 2019 and MJU in 2018. He was a former international student at National Chengchi University in Taipei, Taiwan and former student at Shih Shin University, PhD in Mass Communication and Journalism.

Accordingly, “Amidst coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, the influx of international webinars in the different parts of the world have created popularity among social media platform on Facebook and thriving online has no issue as far as using social media has good intention not to be viral nor popular but gain more exposure internationally”, according to Dr. Gayeta.

Gayeta’s research interests include international hospitality and tourism management, technology and management, ICT in education, social media, advertising and promotion, advanced marketing management for hospitality and tourism, public relations, corporate social responsibility, talent management, business management, heritage and culture tourism, wellness and spa tourism, sea, sun and beach tourism, online news consumption, gratification of news and public affairs inclusive of consumer behavior, educational management and leadership, and crisis management and communication.| –BNN
