BATANGAS City — FORMER Senator and Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) founder Manny Pacquaio and Commissioner Kenneth Duremdes are both optimistic that the league is still focused on the objective of the league, of training more players for the national and international scene.
The men behind the league were all present at the playoffs at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum here, Tuesday night.
Pacquiao said MPBL is more than just an ordinary league; that it will have other ancillary tournaments in its package. While MPBL is primarily conceptualized to be the ‘necessary training ground’ for basketball players, it is now also committed to hone more players in volleyball and other field.
