Philippines’ CJ Opiaza is Miss Grand International 2024 1st runner-up!

BANGKOK, Thailand – FILIPINA beauty queen is Miss Grand International 2024 – 1st Runner Up, while India’s bet Rachel Gupta was crowned Miss Grand International 2024!

The coronation night of the pageant was held at the MGI Hall, Bravo BKK in Bangkok City, Thailand on Friday.

Following the announcement of the Top 5, the Question and Answer portion immediately followed with only one question tasked of the candidates.

Donning a low-cut silver sequin evening gown with a flowy white cape by known Filipino designer Mak Tumang, CJ was the first to answer the question “What do you think is the most critical issue in the world today that needs to be resolved, and what solutions do you propose?”

“The most pressing issue that we have today is, of course, the presence of who war and violence. We can see all around media that there are people dying, people of suffering, you can see the kids crying, their dreams are being shattered. How our differences makes us divided. I collect you all as you leave this place today to bring much more kindness, respect, and treat one another as human. We live in the same world, we breathe the same air. We are living in the same place. Treat one another as your brothers and sisters,”  the Filipinas beauty queen answered.

The other crowned runners-up are Miss Grand Myanmar Thae Su Nyein, 2nd;  Miss Grand France Safiétou Kabengele, 3rd; and Miss Grand Brazil Talita Hartmann 4th.|
