TIWI, Albay – AP Renewables Inc. (APRI) and Power Sector Asset and Liabilities Management Corporation (PSALM) conducted an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign relating to the land lease agreement (LLA) encompassing the Tiwi Geothermal Facility in Albay last December 2, 2024. The event was attended by barangay officials from APRI’s 16 host communities and was made in collaboration with APRI’s Compliance Department, Reputation Management Team (RMT), and Security Team.

Leonardo Robel, APRI Vice President for Corporate Services, emphasized that the forum provided barangay officials with the opportunity to engage directly with PSALM, the landowner of the Tiwi power plants, which APRI has been operating since 2009. This direct interaction enabled officials to better understand the key provisions of the Land Lease Agreement (LLA), empowering them to ensure compliance and address potential issues within their communities.

The event featured informative discussions and open forums, where officials could ask questions about the agreement’s impact, including sustainable energy production, job creation, and socio-economic development.

This IEC shows APRI remains committed to advancing business and communities through consistent community engagements and transparency. |
