IBAAN, Philippines – A NEW and exciting sport is rolling into Batangas! The Philippines Push Bike Racing Series is launching an initiative to introduce the children to cycling in a fun, safe, and engaging environment.

Push-bikes, also known as balance bikes, are pedal-free bicycles designed to help young riders develop balance and coordination before transitioning to traditional bicycles. The Philippine Push Bike Racing Series Batangas chapter aims to inspire the next generation of cyclists by organizing a series of push-bike races and events throughout Batangas, fostering a love for cycling and providing children and families with an opportunity to bond and be active together.

“We are committed to creating a vibrant push-bike culture in Batangas, one that empowers children to be active, boosts their confidence, and helps them develop key motor skills,” said Clydie Pasia, chapter administrator at PBR Batangas. “By encouraging friendly races and community engagement, we hope to make cycling a fun and accessible sport for young riders of all backgrounds.”

First-ever push bike race in Batangas

The inaugural race event will take place on 9th March 2025 at the scenic Batangas Lakelands, located in the town of Balete. The event will feature multiple race categories for children aged 2 to 6 years, with age-appropriate tracks designed to cater to the unique needs and abilities of young riders. In addition to the races, families can enjoy a range of interactive and family-friendly activities.,

“We invite parents, cycling enthusiasts, and the entire Batangas community to be a part of this exciting journey,” added Clydie Pasia. “Whether you’re registering a young rider, volunteering, or exploring sponsorship opportunities, there’s a place for everyone to get involved in shaping the future of cycling in our province.”

Clydie Pasia added, “Let’s come together to build a brighter, healthier future for young cyclists in Batangas!”
