TANAUAN City – BINUKSAN na nitong Lunes, Oktubre 28, ang kauna-unahang “automated disinfection facility” sa bahagi ng Star Tollway na sakop ng lungsod ng Tanauan sa pangunguna ni Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary William Dar at pakikiisa ng Pamahalaang Lungsod sa pamumuno ni Mayor Mary Angeline Halili bilang bahagi ng patuloy na kampanya laban sa paglaganap ng African Swine Fever (ASF).  

Ayon kay DA Sec. Dar, “This is very important para hindi maikalat ‘yung virus galing Metro Manila or any other areas.  First of its kind.  We’ll see to it that we’ll have more of this in those critical and strategic areas.”

Kabilang sa dumalo sa ribbon-cutting ng pasilidad si Batangas 3rd District Representative Ma. Theresa Collantes at DA Regional Executive Director Arnel V. De Mesa.

Matatandaan na mahigpit na ipinatutupad ang pagdidisimpekta ng mga sasakyan na papasok sa lalawigan ng Batangas  na may dalang hayop, lalo na ang mga buhay na baboy, alinsunod sa Memorandum Circular No. 3 na nilagdaan ni Governor Hermilando Mandanas at Provincial Veterinarian Romelito Marasigan. Samantala, patuloy pa ring ipinagbabawal ang pagpasok sa lalawigan ng mga buhay na baboy mula sa ibang lalawigan, particular sa Rizal at Gitnang Luzon.|-BALIKAS News Network
