The SM Store’s Share Movement recently brought the magic of Christmas to the children of the Looc Elementary School as it launched this year’s Share a Toy project.

Away from the bustling city lights, Looc Elementary School lies in the heart of Nasugbu Batangas where it is the second home to hundreds of little children. Every day, these kids go to school and attend their basic education classes. On break times, they spend their time running around the vast school grounds while overlooking the unobstructed scenic view of the nearby mountains. Some also play hide and seek while others happily take turns and play around their little school slide; nothing fancy, it’s a life anchored in genuine simplicity.

But on this special day, there was more fun, laughter and excitement as employee volunteers from The SM Store Lipa and The SM Store Batangas played Santa and transformed the school grounds into a big function- just like a real children’s party. They distributed adorable and cuddly plush toys, clothes and grocery items to the little children of this humble community.

These little children happily raised their new plush toys from The SM Store’s Share A Toy campaign.

Aside from the toys that the children received, they also experienced the magical and festive spirit of Christmas as they were treated to a day of fun activities such as: face painting, interactive games, magic and puppet shows as well as bubble shows. On the sidelines, there were also hotdog stands and ice cream booths were children enjoyed some delightful treats.

Mikko, one of the grade school students of Looc Elementary School, shared how much he enjoyed the activities and his new stuffed toy. According to him, such treat happens rarely in their school community.

“Masaya po ako sa natanggap ko na regalo. Masaya at maganda din ang program kanina, nagpa face paint pa nga po ako. Minsan lang po kasi may ganito dito sa amin.” Mikko said.

The SM Store recently  launched its Share a Toy campaign with a fun filled day at Looc Elementary School where kids received new stuffed toys as their early Christmas gifts. Shown in the photo are Looc Elementary School Principal Luciana Tulagan, The SM Store Lipa Assistant Branch Manager Shelamie Marasigan and The SM Store Batangas Customer Service Manager Annalyn Macatangay together with the grade school students of Looc Elementary School.

Meanwhile, Luciana Tulagan, Principal of Looc Elementary, also expressed her joy and gratitude for the fun filled day and the value of sharing and gift giving that The SM Store was able to embody through this activity.

“ Tulagan said.

Christmas is indeed the most wonderful time of the year with all the bright and sparkly city lights and high ceiling Christmas trees enveloped with enchanting decors. It’s also the best time of the year to spread the joy through gift giving and sharing.

Here at The SM Store, celebrate this joyous season with a generous heart by donating new or pre-loved toys at the Share A Toy booth located in all The SM Store branches nationwide starting on November 15, 2019 to December 31, 2019.  For every donation made, shoppers will get a Php 50 discount coupon. Toys collected will be donated to selected SM Foundation beneficiaries.

Share A Toy under the SM Share Movement campaign is one of the ways that The SM Store creates a culture of sharing and purposeful giving together with its customers. Early this year, The SM Store also conducted its Share Shoes and Donate A Book campaigns which gained overwhelming support from its shoppers.|-BNN
