State of Calamity dineklara sa Batangas City

IDINEKLARA na ang state of calamity sa Batangas City upang higit itong makatugon sa Coronavirus Disease-19 (COVID-19) health crisis lalo na at mayroon na itong dalawang confirmed cases na naitala noong March 13 at mga persons under investigation.

Ipinasa ng Sangguniang Panlungsod sa special session nito noong March 10 ang Resolution No. 100 na nagdedeklara ng state of calamity sa lungsod.

Ayon sa resolusyon, ang deklarasyon ay bunsod ng pagiging isa ng global pandemic ng COVID-19 na nagdudulot ng pagkawasak sa buhay at ekonomiya ng mga tao,

Dahilan dito, kinakailangang gumawa ng mga “decisive” at mahigpit na hakbang ang pamahalaang lungsod upang maprotektahan ang kalusugan, kaligtasan at kapakanan ng mga mamamayan.

Kinakailangan din ng deklarasyong ito upang mapabilis ang mobilization ng resources ng lungsod.|BNN / Detalye mula sa PIO Batangas City)
