The real ‘5 Breakups and a Romance’

Must read

Part I in a Series

THE Mark-Kris romance of Batangas vice governor Mark Leviste and Queen of All Media Kris Aquino that went thru a whirlwind in the last several months can be compared to the 2023 Philippine romantic drama film Five Breakups and a Romance written and directed by Irene Emma Villamor.

The film starring Alden Richards and Julia Montes is a collaboration among GMA Pictures, Cornerstone Studios and MYRIAD Corporation.

The public witnessed the several instances of falling out of the couple for some reasons. One of those breakups was when Mark posted updates about Kris without asking prior permission which Kris noted this as something improper.

After sometime that the vice governor did not stop ‘courting’ Kris, they were able to patch up their differences and back to each others arms again.

But last July, Kris Aquino revealed that she chose to end her relationship with Mark Leviste because he has “many dreams left to fulfill” and “many obligations” to his constituents in Batangas.

Kris then shared a photo of herself with her sons Josh and Bimby and said on her Instagram post on Monday, July 17 that the Batangas vice governor has a “life beyond trying to help take care of me.”

“I gave you a cleansed version of why I ended my relationship with Marc. I didn’t lie when I said a long distance relationship is difficult,” she wrote. “But I saw he has many dreams left to fulfill and many obligations to the people who gave him their vote.”

“I’m realistic enough that Marc has a life beyond trying to help take care of me. I apologize for seeming selfish but why will I add stress in my life when I am suffering 8,000 miles away?”

“If we had tried to stay together as couple, the ending would still be the same, tao rin ako na mapipikon at magtatampo dahil nararamdaman kong, hindi ba niya naisip ang hirap na pinagdaanan ko (I’m still human who gets annoyed and upset because I would feel that he doesn’t think about the hardships that I go through)?” she continued.

Mark did not stop there. In his instagram post, the vice governor is still full of love, even as he went back to the Philippines. – To be continued –
