MPORMAL nang binuksan ang Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) 3rd season sa Mall of Asia Arena , kahapon, June 12, kung saan may 31 teams ang magtatagisan ng galing.

Nagpasalamat ang CEO at Founder ng MPBL na si Senator Manny Pacquiao sa mga dumalo sa opening program at sa patuloy na suporta ng mga fans at mga pamahalaang lokal sa liga. Sa loob lamang aniya ng mahigit isang taon ay patuloy na dumadami at lumalaki ang MPBL na nagsimula sa 10 koponan noong unang season at 26 teams noong season 2. Puno rin ang mga venues na pinagdarausan ng basketball games, patunay aniya ito na ang MPBL ang liga ng bawat Pilipino.

Pinangunahan ng mga team owners at managers ang presentation sa bawat team kasama ang kanilang muse na karamihan ay mga beauty titlists at mga kilalang artista tulad ni Nadine Lustre na muse ng MPBL 2nd season champion, ang San Juan Knights.

Hindi nagpahuli ang koponan ng Batangas City Tanduay Athletics na pinangunahan nina team managers Gerry Tee, ABC Pres. Dondon Dimacuha at Guilbert Alea. Muse nito si Bb. Lungsod ng Batangas 2019 Jeanette Reyes na ang mga escorts ay sina team captain Lester Alvarez at actor Derek Rampsey.

Si Ramsey na dati nang naglaro sa Philippine Basketball League (PBL) ay isa sa mga bagong players ng Batangas City Tanduay. Ilan pa sa mga bagong players ng koponan sina 2013 NCAA MVP at De La Salle University forward, Prince Rivero; University of the East (UE) forward, Ralf Olivares; Far Eastern University (FEU) swingman, Arvin Tolentino, at iba pa. Head coach ng team ngayon si former NU Bullpups head coach, Goldwyn Monteverde.

Mapapanood ang unang laro ng Batangas City Tanduay Athletics laban sa Muntinlupa Cagers sa June 15 sa Batangas City Sports Coliseum.|
