WHILE inside SM City Batangas, most of the mall-goers are still craving for best tasting hamburgers and other food-to-go choices that in the past can only be found outside the mall. And as rainy season starts to pour in heavy rainful unexpectedly, a home-grown burger company is also raining with surprises and special offers to fellow Batangueños.

Your ever-favorite brand, Hungry Hippo, formally opens its branch now at SM City Batangas today, June 8! This is the 6th branch of the growing company in addition to existing branches in RCBC Plaza in Makati; Biñan, Laguna; Caltex SLEX Southbound; C.M. Recto Avenue in Lipa City, and at the ground floor of UB Hilltop Campus.

“Batangueños should stay patronizing Hungry Hippo because we have the excemptional burgers and great service. A very classic burgers that no one can give I mean even without the specialty sauce I can proudly say na sobrang sarap pa din, sobrang juicy pa din. Great service kasi we really train our staffs to be warm and treat our guests like their family,” said Mr. Alex Yap of Goldwin Comida Corporation, the company behind the brand.

The company maintains a centralized commissary in Carmona, Cavite.

As Pauline recounted, the brand used to be owned by Hungry Hippo Foods Corporation of Juan Castillo group that started in 1995. Her family later on started the UB-Batangas City Branch as a franchisee of HHFC. Until after a decade of operation HHFC decided to sold the whole corporation and Pauline’s family teamed up with Alex Yap’s group of Winnable Marketing Corporation, and in December 2015, the newly formed group – Goldwins Comida Corporation – finally bought the whole business of Hungry Hippo Foods Corporation.

For Pauline, Alex and their group, keeping Hungry Hippo is not just synonymous with keeping the name, but heralding the tradition of excellent consumer satisfaction that spells the Hungry Hippo brand.|#BALIKAS_News
