Batangas City, may pinakamataas na grado sa lalawigan sa energy audit ng DOST

Nagkamit ng 91% efficiency grade ang pamahalaang lungsod sa ginawang Government Management Program Energy Audit Report ng Department of Science and Technology Industrial Technology Development Institute (DOST-ITDI) ngayong araw, July 26.

Ang nasabing energy auditing ay bilang pagtugon sa RA 11285 o Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act na naglalayong alamin kung gaano kalaki ang konsumo ng kuryente ng bawat LGU gayundin upang malaman ang mga paraan kung paano sila mas makakatipid.

Ayon kay Federico Del Pozo Jr, team leader ng energy audit team, 65 na local government units ( LGU) ang nakatakda nilang puntahan at inspeksyunin.

“Batay sa ginawa naming auditing, Batangas City government ang nakakuha ng pinakamataas na grado sa buong lalawigan,” sabi ni Del Pozo.

Ilan sa kanilang naging batayan ay ang Office Policy, Best Practices for Electricity Conservation at Best Practices for Fuel Conservation.

Tinanggap ni Local Economic Investments and Promotions Officer Erick Anthony Sanohan bilang kinatawan ni Mayor Beverley Dimacuha ang ribbon at certificate mula sa DOST.

Samantala, itinalagang Enercon Officer si City Environment and Natural Resources Officer Oliver Gonzales bilang point person ng lungsod sa susunod na pagbisita ng grupo.|
