Quezon’s Bagsakan Center and SLSU-Lucena receive Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Training from DOST-Quezon

THE Sentrong Pamilihan ng Produktong Agrikultura sa Quezon Foundation, Inc. (SPPAQFI) and the Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) Lucena Campus received current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Training from the Department of Science and Technology-Quezon (DOST-Quezon) from April 17 to 18, 2023 at SLSU-Lucena Campus, Ibabang Dupay, Lucena City, Quezon.

The DOST-Quezon through its resident Food Safety members, Ms. Precious Monedera and Ms. Amiel Lacdan, facilitated the training for SPPAQFI production staff and SLSU faculty members.

This training was aimed to capacitate its participants to properly handle food and food materials in processing to avoid contamination whilst maintaining top quality products.

SPPAQFI, a non-stock, non-profit organization located at Maharlika Highway, Sariaya, Quezon, is the identified beneficiary for the DOST project “Leveling-Up of Quezon’s Bagsakan Agri-Processing Capability Through Adoption of the Smart Food Value Chain Framework” of DOST CALABARZON in partnership with SLSU.| – Maria Esperanza E.
