LABINLIMANG inmates sa Batangas Provincial Jail inmates ang lumaya matapos mabigyan ng Certificate of Release from Detention of Prisoners kaalinsabay ng pagdiriwang ng Prisoners’ Awareness Week, Oktubre 28.

Ipinagdiwang ng Batangas Provincial Jail (BPJ) noong ika-22 hanggang 28 ng Oktubre 2018 ang Prison Awareness Week, sa pangunguna ni Provincial Public Order and Safety Department (PPOSD) chief Atty. Genaro S. Cabral an siya ring at Officer-In-Charge ng Batangas Provincial Jail.

Sa temang “Lord, may I see, hear and act on the request for help of your people”, naglaan ang BPJ ng mga aktibidad na may layuning maitaas ang moralidad at mabigyang halaga ang mga inmates sa kabila ng kanilang kalagayan sa piitan.

Dumalo sa nasabing okasyon si Governor Dodo Mandanas at katuwang si Atty. Cabral sa pagbibigay ng Certificate of Release from Detention of Prisoners para sa nabanggit na 15 inmates dahil sa kanilang pagpapakita ng kagandahang asal sa loob ng bilangguan habang nagsisilbi ng kanilang sentensya.

Sinimulan ang selebrasyon ng isang misa at seminar ukol sa values at volunteer in prison service noong ika-22 ng Oktubre. Sa mga sumunod na araw, nagkaroon ng gift giving sa mga preso na handog ng mga mag-aaral mula sa Sta. Teresa College ng Bauan, Batangas.

Ginanap din ang graduation ceremony ng 74 male at 26 female inmates na sumailalim sa Hilot Wellness Massage Training na pinangunahan ng First in Learning Electronics Training Center o FILETC at TESDA Batangas.

Ika-25 ng Oktubre naman nang bumisita sa nasabing piitan sina Judge Dorcas Ferriols-Perez ng Regional Trial Court Branch 84 at Judge Ismael Macasaet ng RTC Branch 1 ng Batangas City para sa Jail visitation of Judges upang makapagbigay ng legal consultation.

Nagkaroon din ng mga aktibidad gaya ng dance and singing contest, barako gay contest at Live Band Performance na pawang mga handog para sa kasiyahan ng mga inmates.| Mark Jonathan Macaraig
