IT’S Game 3 no more for MPBL (Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League) South Division as Bacoor City Strikers put to a close the semis on Friday, November 17, clipping out the only hope of Batangas City Embassy Chills Athletics to regain match which they missed in Bacoor last November 13, Monday.

The Bacoor City Strikers shook off a slow start as they subdued the Batangas City Embassy Chill in Game 2 at the Batangas City Sports Coliseum, thus clinching the South division title, 54-49. The Athletics missed only 5 points, while coming through with 14 to cut short their best-of-three South finals series and barge to the National Finals.

Aaron Jeruta did not produce eye popping numbers but he was instrumental in stabilizing the Strikers when Batangas threatened to turn the game on its head in the third quarter.

With the win, the Strikers forged a championship clash against Pampanga Giant Lanterns in a battle of first time finalists.

On halftime, it was a critical lead for Bacoor of 2 points only, 23-21, making the tightly contested opening half breath-controlling moment for the fans of both teams.

But the Strikers are determined to cut short the best of three series to grab the South Division crown.
