Batangas’ TOP resto lost in fire

BATANGAS City lost one of its best restaurants as fire gutted The Other Place (TOP) along Rizal Avenue in Batangas City downtown, Friday morning.

Initial report from the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) said the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) recorded the 1st alarm of call at around 7:05 in the morning. The fire was under control at 7:32AM and was declared fire out at 8:20 in the morning.

Batangas Mayor Beverley Dimacuha and Congressman Marvey Marino immediately visted the area to personally assess the extent of the fire incident and the people affected thereby.

The authorities has yet to assess the value of the properties lost in the fire.

A Department of Tourism (DOT)-accredited establishment, TOP is the premier restaurant in the city known for its fresh and delicious native foods and seafoods.| –BNN, with report from PIO Batangas City
