A new light of experiences will bring happiness and kindness to every community as SM create more magical memories and opportunities to touch other people’s lives this holiday season.

Since it’s the season of giving, you can support cause-oriented advocacies of individuals and organizations by purchasing products that provide opportunities and livelihood to marginalized sectors.

Hereunder is the full-text of the Welcome Speech of MS. GEMINA F. BUENAFLOR, Mall Manager of SM City Batangas:

Good afternoon, everyone and thank you for joining us today.

In the Philippines and most specially here at SM, Christmas has always been a momentous celebration. We began the season of giving last Sept 17 which marks 100 days to Christmas. This year, we partnered with cause-oriented groups and are giving them 100 days tobe in our malls to raise funds for their beneficiaries and charities.

Today, we launch our Christmas centerpieces, signaling the start of Holiday Happiness and spectacle in each of the communities we are in. We thank our LGU partner – The City of Batangas and Vice Mayor Alyssa Cruz, Senior Board Member Claudette Ambida, and Vice Governor Mark Leviste for joining us in person. Thank you very much!

Because we’ve missed you these past 2 years, we promise to bring back a truly magical experience in every one of our 80 malls nationwide, especially here at SM City Batangas.
What can your families and friends expect from SM this Christmas? Aside from lighting up our magnificent trees and activating our Happiness Stations with our cause-oriented charities, we will be launching a series of memorable Christmas activations throughout the season, from augmented reality, to choirs and flash mobs, to sale events and Christmas Markets, feasts and parties with family and friends.

Christmasis for the children, it is said, and this year, our annual tradition – the bears of joy – will feature a family of bears to keep and collect. For each one you buy, another will be donated to a community charity. Here in Batangas City, we will donate the Bears of Joy to Lingap Pangarap and Buklod Unlad on Christmas Day.

Which brings me finally to what Christmas is all about – the spirit of giving. Giving back our blessings to the community, to those with less, to our families, friends and loved ones. Give a small gift, your time, your attention and your laughter this holiday season. There’s no better place to do this than at SM City Batangas.

Merry Christmas to you all and thank you for giving us a home here in Batangas City.|
