SM partners with University of Batangas

SM Malls in Batangas sealed its 3rd academic partnership this time with University of Batangas through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed August 22, 2023 at University of Batangas, Lipa City campus.

THE ceremonial MOA signing graced by University of Batangas executives led by its President, Dr. Hernando B. Perez and VP for External Affairs, Dr. Abegayle Machelle M. Perez-Chua together with SM Officials led by SM South 4 Regional Opertions Manager, Mr. Juan Marius C. Cortez, SM South 4 Regional Human Resources Manager, Ms. Rowena C. Ramos and SM City Batangas Mall Manager and Assistant Manager, Ms. Gemina F. Buenaflor and Engr. Bernard M. Coronel, highlighted their joint commitment and support for the student’s learning and development as well as career opportunities in the future.

Also present during the event were UB officials, Dr. Lionel Buenaflor – External Affairs Liaison, Mrs. Daisy Maghirang – External Affairs Project Specialist, Mr. Vincent Alcantara – UB Batangas City Student Affairs and External Programs Officer, Mrs. Millete De Torres – UB Lipa City Student Affairs and External Programs Officer, Mrs. Razelle Macaraig – Asst. Internship Officer and Ms. Kim Lorraine Fernando – UB Lipa City Corporate Communications Officer; along with SM City Batangas Human Resources Manager, Ms. Sheila Marie Ojeda and SM City Lipa Human Resources Manager, Ms. Amy Diaz.

With the academic partnership, SM aims to help qualified students learn and take part in the company’s internship programs and learning sessions to strengthen their knowledge and skills in preparation for future career, as well as assist for job placements.| – BNN
