13 mag-aaral sa Batangas City, nakilahok sa Poster Making Contest ng BCLC

KABUUANG 13 mag-aaral mula sa ilang pampubliko at pribadong junior high schools sa Lungsod Batangas ang nakilahok sa International Peace Poster Making Contest ng Batangas Crown Lions Club, PMJF, na isinagawa sa Alangilan Central Elementary School nitong Huwebes ng umaga, Oktubre 20.

Ang paligsahan sa pagguhit na may temang: “Lead with Compassion” ay bahagi ng isang malawakang poster making contest ng Lions Clubs International (LCI) kung saan ang mga nanalo sa Club Level ay siyang makakapasok sa Regional Level; samantalang ang hihiranging Regional Winner naman ay siyang lalaban sa District or Multi-District Competition.

Tumanggap ng Php 3,000 cash prize ang kalahok mula sa Batangas City High School for Culture and Arts na siyang tinanghal na Club Winner. Sinundan siya ng kalahok ng Tingga-Soro-soro Integrated High School (TISISI) na tumanggap ng Php 2,000.00 cash, at ng kalahok ng Sto. Niño High School na tumanggap ng Php 1,000.00, bilang ikalawa at Ikatlong pwesto, ayon sa pagkakasunod. Pare-pareho silang tumanggap din ng regalo at Cartificate of Participation.

Samantala, ang mga kalahok na hindi nakapasok sa unang tatlong pwesto ay pawang tumanggap ng tig-Php 500.00 consolation prizes at Certificate of Participation.

“Hindi magiging matagumpay ang proyekto nating ito kung hindi dahil sa mainit na suporta ng ating mga miyembro ng Batangas Crown Lions Club, PMJF,” pahayag ni Lion Cara Mia Fabiana L. Alolod, pangulo ng samahan.

Lubos din ang pasasalamat ni PP Josefina Lagman, chairperson ng poster making contest sa mga nagging hurado ng patimpalak sa pangunguna ni G. Bill Perez ng Batangas City Cultural Affairs Committee, at sa mga nag-ambag ng mga premyo.| – BNN / jmr Videography: Jayson D. Aguilon
